Born in Monmouth, N.J., Ashley Tisdale was discovered in a shopping mall at the age of 3 by talent manager Bill Perlman. She spent much of her childhood starring in television commercials and stage productions before eventually landed guest roles on such television series as “7th Heaven” “Beverly Hills, 90210” and “Charmed.”
Her breakout role came when she landed the part of Maddie Fitzpatrick on "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody" in 2005. A year later, Tisdale would be propelled to stardom in another Disney hit, “High School Musical,” in which she starred as the supersnob Sharpay.
Tisdale’s talents and icon status were cemented when she became the first female artist to debut two singles simultaneously on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart.
