Alan Rickman to Return to Broadway This Fall

Alan Rickman, pictures, picture, photos, photo, pics, pic, images, image, hot, sexy, latest, new, 2011NEW YORK – Another member of the "Harry Potter" franchise is returning to Broadway. This time it's Alan Rickman.

Rickman, who won a Tony Award in the 2002 production of Noel Coward's "Private Lives," will star in the world premiere of Theresa Rebeck's new play, "Seminar," this fall.

The production will open at a Shubert theater to be announced soon.

Rickman, who plays professor Severus Snape in the "Potter" franchise, will portray a literary legend who teaches a private seminar for four young awe-struck writers. The play will be directed by Sam Gold.

Rebeck's other plays include "Mauritius" and "The Understudy."

Rickman follows "Potter" co-star Daniel Radcliffe to Broadway, where the younger man is belting out show tunes in "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying."

Radcliffe made his Broadway debut in a revival of "Equus."
