Anne Hathaway Cast as Catwoman in 'The Dark Knight Rises'

Anne Hathaway, Catwoman, The Dark Knight Rises, pictures, picture, photos, photo, pics, pic, images, image, hot, sexy, latest, new, 2011HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Anne Hathaway has been cast as Selina Kyle – aka Catwoman – in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises, Warner Bros. Pictures announced Wednesday.

Hathaway, 28, will star alongside Christian Bale, who returns in the title role of Bruce Wayne/Batman.

"I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Anne Hathaway, who will be a fantastic addition to our ensemble as we complete our story," said director Christopher Nolan in a statement.

In other casting news, Warner Bros. revealed that Tom Hardy is set to play Bane.

"I am delighted to be working with Tom again and excited to watch him bring to life our new interpretation of one of Batman’s most formidable enemies," said Nolan.

The Dark Knight Rises is slated for release on July 20, 2012.
