HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Ashton Kutcher is threatening legal action against Vivid Entertainment after the company released a sex tape featuring his alleged mistress, Brittney Jones.
According to TMZ, the actor's attorneys fired off a letter to Vivid claiming the adult film company is using Kutcher's name to promote the video.
Vivid's founder/co-chairman, Steven Hirsch, acknowledged that Kutcher's legal team had threatened to take action over the Jones porn tape.
"We received the letter late this afternoon and I immediately forwarded it to my attorney," he told TMZ. "We will respond accordingly."
In September, Star magazine alleged Kutcher met Jones while he was bowling with wife Demi Moore and stepdaughter Rumer Willis at the Lucky Strike Lanes in Hollywood. Jones claimed Kutcher handed over his number and had sex with her days later (on a couch at his home while Moore was away).
"I felt totally comfortable in his arms," Jones told the mag. "It was tender and nice — not some random sex act."
The allegations were later denied by Kutcher's lawyer, Marty Singer.
"Star magazine continuously publishes lies about Ashton Kutcher and many other celebrities," the attorney said. "This is not the first, nor will it be the last time they engage in reckless conduct."
