HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Christie Brinkley says dating is the last thing on her mind these days.
"Most of the time I’ve got my kids with me, so I’m not as prone to meeting people," the 56-year-old beauty tells Prevention magazine. "And then, you never really know if someone is talking to you because you’re a celebrity. It’s not my number one priority."
Brinkley’s fourth marriage ended in a bitter divorce when she split with ex-husband Peter Cook two years ago.
"I really believe in the old expression that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger," she says of overcoming some of the setbacks in her life. "It’s through adversity that you find the strength you never knew you had."
The supermodel still keeps a busy schedule and says that helps when it comes to caring for her three children – Alexa Ray, 25, Jack, 15, and Sailor, 12.
"My work makes me a better mom," she explains. "It gives me a little door to step out of my parenting and bring the excitement from my day back home."
