LONDON — David Beckham is hitting back after a tabloid accused him of cheating on wife Victoria Beckham with a $10,000-a-night hooker.
According to the U.K.'s Daily Mail, the soccer star has filed new legal documents in which he denies hooking up with former prostitute Irma Nici. Beckham filed the declaration as part of his $25 million lawsuit against Nici and In Touch Weekly.
The magazine accused Beckham of having a threesome and unprotected sex, shortly after he moved to the U.S. in 2007 to play for the Los Angeles Galaxy.
The 35-year-old athlete has accused Nici of fabricating the entire story. In the documents, Beckham states he "never met Nici, let alone committed adultery with Nici or paid her for sex."
"Irma Nici's statements have caused me and my family great anguish and emotional distress, and have adversely affected both my personal and professional life," Beckham wrote in the declaration.
The Beckhams, who married in 1999, have three sons – Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, 8, and Cruz, 5.
