LOS ANGELES – Motorhead star Lemmy has launched his own brand of wine.
The 65-year-old rocker - who is joined in the band by Phil Campbell, and Mikkey Dee - has created a bottle of Australian Shiraz wine which features flavors of vanilla, blackberries, plums and licorice.
However, he has warned fans, who will pay £14.40 a bottle, to be wary of drinking too much.
He said: "Wine is deceptive. Anything can happen."
It is recommended the red wine be drunk with lamb chops seasoned with garlic.
Ewen Cameron from Great Wine Online - which is selling the alcohol in the UK - adds it is the perfect accompaniment to most dishes.
He said: "Just like Lemmy, it can survive just about anything."
The bottle has already sold 120,000 units since its release in Sweden last year.
Motorhead are not the only rockers to have unveiled a wine recently, Australian rock band AC/DC have a collection of red and white vintages.
Steve Donohue, general manager of buying for the Woolworths Liquor Group - which sells the wine in Australia - said: "We wanted to make sure that AC/DC's home fan base could have easy access to their rock icons' wines."
