HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Lindsay Lohan will be charged Wednesday with one count of felony grand theft, the Los Angeles District Attorney has announced.
The actress will be arraigned at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Airport Superior Court, officials said.
Lohan, 24, is accused of stealing a $2,500 necklace from a Venice, Calif. jewelry store on Jan. 22. Detectives obtained a warrant last week to search her home in Venice, but before they could, the necklace was returned to the police.
If convicted, the Mean Girls star faces several years in state prison.
This is the latest legal setback for Lohan, who is currently on probation for a 2007 misdemeanor DUI conviction.
