LOS ANGELES – Nicola Roberts is "in love" with Beyonce Knowles.
The 'Lucky Day' singer is in awe of the US superstar and says her music can always cheer her up when she is having a bad day.
She said: "If I'm having a bad day, I have a coffee and put some music on. At the moment it's Beyonce's latest album. I'm in love with her.
"She must get up and do her vocal exercises every day because she just gets better. There's no way she takes a back seat. She works so hard and also tries to be a good person. Beyonce is such an inspiration."
The Girls Aloud star also revealed she refuses to hang out with her loved ones before she performs because she needs to separate herself from her everyday life.
She explained in an interview with Top of the Pops magazine: "When I'm not working, I'm at home, sitting on the couch with scruffy pyjamas on. Who you are at home is different to who you are when you're on stage.
"I don't really see my family before a show because I have to separate myself. Before a show, I can't feel like the person who sits at home in scruffy pyjamas, with chocolate all over me."
