HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Owen Wilson's newborn son is already commanding the room.
"He's not, I wouldn't say, a wonderful conversationalist at this point, but he kind of doesn't have to be," the 42-year-old actor said of new baby boy Robert Ford on Tuesday's Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
Wilson said his 6-week-old son is "so cute" that his personality can already be compared to a Hollywood legend.
"[He's like] Steve McQueen in The Magnificent Seven, where he didn't have a lot of dialogue — you just kind of gave him the camera and he was able to hold the screen," said Wilson. "I feel like Ford is heading in that direction."
When asked whether Ford looks more like him or girlfriend Jade Duell, Wilson jokingly replied: "Who he really looks like at this point is other babies."
While he's loving every minute of fatherhood, Wilson did joke that the Tonight Show set has a different appeal to him these days.
"What they say about newborns and not getting a lot of sleep, that's true," he said. "You look at every place now as a potential nap place. Like, I'm looking at this couch thinking maybe at commercial break I might get a little shut-eye there."
