LOS ANGELES – Taylor Lautner is a "Terrible, terrible, terrible," singer.
The 19–year-old actor has his first starring role away from the 'Twilight' franchise in action movie 'Abduction', and as he plans his future career he is keen to avoid anything requiring him to showcase his vocal talents.
He told USA Today newspaper: "That is one thing that my fans would probably not support. If I ever start singing in a movie, they'll be like, 'Alright, I'm done.' I'm terrible, terrible, terrible!"
Although he was in a hip-hop group earlier in his teens, Taylor is also ruling out any parts that require him to dance too.
He added: "I would attempt hip hop dancing. I was miserable at it. I would mainly use my martial arts skills. And then, occasionally, and when I had to, I would do a dance move."
However, when Taylor got the all action script for 'Abduction' – in which he plays a boy who finds out the people who raised him aren't his parents and he is being hunted by a team of professional killers – he knew it was perfect for him.
He said: "I had really liked the premise of Abduction when they first pitched it to me and when I finally had a script, I sat down to read it and I couldn't stop turning the pages. I knew at that moment it had to be my next project."
