Tiger Woods Spits on Green, Apologizes Via Twitter

Tiger Woods, spits, on, green, video, Twitter, pictures, picture, photos, photo, pics, pic, images, image, hot, sexy, latest, new, 2010VIRGINIA WATER, England — Tiger Woods has been fined an undisclosed sum by the European Tour for spitting on the green during Sunday's final round of the Dubai Desert Classic.

The 35-year-old golfer spit on the 12th hole after missing a par putt. It was a frustrating day for Woods, who finished in a tie for 20th after beginning the final day one shot off the lead.

"The Euro Tour is right — it was inconsiderate to spit like that and I know better," Woods said on Twitter Monday. "Just wasn't thinking and want to say I'm sorry."

Television cameras also caught Woods spitting during an earlier round in the tournament, drawing criticism from Britain's Sky Sports commentator Ewen Murray, who called it "one of the ugliest things you will ever see on a golf course."
