HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Contrary to tabloid reports, Tisha Campbell-Martin is not near death.
The 42-year-old actress has confirmed she's suffering from the lung disease sarcoidosis, which she was diagnosed with nearly 10 years ago. But she's perfectly healthy.
"Thank you, everyone, for your concern," she told People magazine in a statement Wednesday. "However, no worry is needed. I was diagnosed with a lung disorder that some people walk around with and don't even know they have."
Campbell-Martin said doctors caught the disease early and she's able to manage her condition.
"Through early diagnosis I'm happy to share that I stay healthy with diet and exercise," she told the mag.
The star of such shows as Martin and My Wife and Kids has been married to fellow actor Duane Martin since 1996. The couple has two sons, Xen, 9, and Ezekiel, 1.
