NEW YORK – Some of the biggest stars in television history were on hand for the TV Land Awards held Sunday at the Jacob Javits Center in New York.
Among those hitting the red carpet were Michael J. Fox, Tracy Pollan, Michael Gross, Meredith Baxter, Justine Bateman, Tina Yothers, John Travolta, Kelly Preston, Regis Philbin, Keshia Knight Pulliam, Paul Reiser, Raven-Symone, Samantha Harris and Valerie Bertinelli.
"The Cosby Show" received The Impact Award at this year's event. The honor is presented to a show that offered both entertainment and enlightenment, with comedy that reflected reality. The Fan Favorite Award was presented to the cast of "Family Ties," while "The Facts of Life" cast received the Pop Culture Award. This year's TV Land Awards also featured a "Welcome Back, Kotter" reunion as the show's cast received the 35th Anniversary Award. Other awards were dished out to Daryl Hall and John Oates, who received the Music Icon Award, and television host Regis Philbin, who was honored with the Legend Award.
The TV Land Awards pay tribute to classic and contemporary luminaries of TV, music and movies.
