HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, the third chapter in Stephenie Meyer's wildly successful vampire series, and The Last Airbender, M. Night Shyamalan's 3D martial-arts fantasy, lead the field of contenders for the 2011 Razzies, organizers announced Monday.
Both films picked up nine nominations in the annual ceremony "honoring" the worst movies, actors and filmmakers. They'll each vie for worst picture in a field that also includes Jennifer Aniston's The Bounty Hunter, Sarah Jessica Parker's sequel Sex and the City 2, and the Twilight parody Vampires Suck.
On the individual side, Ashton Kutcher received a worst actor nod for the films Killers and Valentine's Day. He'll compete against Jack Black (Gulliver's Travels), Gerard Butler (The Bounty Hunter), Taylor Lautner (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, Valentine's Day) and Robert Pattinson (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, Remember Me).
The nominees for worst actress include the four "gal pals" in Sex and the City 2 — Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon — who shared a nomination. The rest of the field includes Aniston (The Bounty Hunter, The Switch), Miley Cyrus (The Last Song), Megan Fox (Jonah Hex) and Kristen Stewart (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse).
"Winners" of the 31st Annual Razzie Awards will be announced at a Hollywood ceremony on Feb. 26, the night before the Oscars.
