By now we know that an ankle strap sandal is a wardrobe must-have. Just take a look at our Last Night’s Look gallery and you’ll notice at least one star steps out in the skin-baring shoe style every day (even in the dead of winter!). Every shoe designer has their own take on the look, but in the past few weeks, there’s one style in particular that’s been spotted on some of the most fashionable celebs in Hollywood — hich is why we’re deeming these Casadei heels Hollywood’s “It” shoe of the moment.

These sheer sandals feature a mesh panel along the straps and a 4-in. heel — meaning they can work with just about any outfit or occasion. This fact is further underlined with some perfect summer style inspo: Cara Delevingne pairs her heels with a youthful crop top and high-waisted bottoms to a Paper Towns photocall in Madrid (an outfit that would look adorable for an upcoming graduation party), while Brittany Snow’s strapless gown with full skirt screams “elegant wedding” attire.

Ellie Goulding’s ensemble for the Glamour Magazine Woman of the Year Awards in London shows how well those skin-showing straps work with a seriously low-cut, sexy dress (we’re thinking a Vegas bachelorette party would be the perfect occasion).
Elizabeth Banks attends a press conference for Pitch Perfect 2 in a perfect office-to-cocktails shift dress, and demonstrates that if you want to work a busy dress (stripes and multicolor), a simple black heel is the best fit. And finally, Charlize Theron keeps the look monochromatic in a plunging black shirtdress at The Big Picture screening at CinemaCon in Las Vegas (hello, perfect date night look!).
