A tattoo is always an easy, if permanent, way to make a serious statement about your devotion to another human being. After all, getting ink embedded in your flesh is pretty much the definition of a lifelong commitment. Under most circumstances we’d advise against anyone inking a beloved’s name on their body (an act often considered to be the relationship kiss of death), but in Drew Barrymore‘s case we’ll definitely make an exception.

Last last night, the actress posted a shot to Instagram teasing her new body art in progress, asking followers what they thought her ink would be. Commenters guessed everything from the word love to Mother of Dragons to “a unicorn jumping a rainbow with butterflies and flowers,” which are all actually pretty strong candidates for Drew’s next tattoo. But instead, the mother of two decided to pay tribute to her young daughters, getting both of their names inscribed on the inside of her right wrist.

Drew showed off her fresh ink on social media, referring to the tattoo as, “a great little lifetime note on my arm.” And unlike most couples who brand each other with their names, this is a relationship that’s actually guaranteed to last forever.
