Emergency Obsessed or Hot Mess: Christina Hendrick's Gold Silk Turban

By Celebrity News Wire on October 8, 2014

We can always count on Christina Hendricks to hit the red carpet with great hair and a lipstick shade we want to track down for our own makeup kit. And while her latest look fired on both of those cylinders (hair home run, fabulous lipstick shade) there were other aspects of her ensemble editors have mixed feelings about. You guessed it: We’re talking about that bold gold silky turban she wore on her head to the Tacori event in West Hollywood Tuesday.

The actress added a hit of color to her high-waisted black trousers and white blouse via the unique hairpiece, whichcovered up the top of what looked like a great blowout. We know turbans are trendy, and maybe if we saw this look on Kourtney Kardashian we wouldn’t even bat an eyelash, but on the 39-year-old Mad Men star (who’s known for her retro glam style and more classic beauty looks), something didn’t quite click. We’ve seen this done well when it’s sleek or more simple, but the overlapping layers of satin and the sunshine-y hue were surprising, to say the least.

Now we want to know how you feel. Vote in the poll below, and as always share any additional thoughts in the comments (like if you are planning to buy a similar turban to wear out this weekend).
