Love It: Emma Stone’s Return to Red Carpet Glam. Full disclosure: My adoration for Emma Stone knows no bounds. I love when she takes fashion risks, but this Valentino gown was playing it pretty safe. That being said, it was still such a home run, thanks to that plunging neckline (she pulled it off effortlessly without looking over-the-top sexy), the yards of gorgeous tulle and the forest-green color, which looked amazing against her skin. She was basically the red carpet version of a ballerina. She wisely skipped the accessories and statement makeup (although that Revlon “Whimsical” lip hue is divine) – probably because she knew all eyes would be on her chic new bob, which is all I’ve been talking about this week. – Whitney Little, Editor of Engagement
Love It: Kate Mara’s Swingy Shift. I’m loving the retro ’60S-inpsired dresses that are starting to hit the carpet. The silhouette is expected to be huge for fall, and Kate’s Miu Miu mini moment kicks of the trend the right way. From the shimmery paillettes to the crystal embellishments, the design feels like the perfect party dress. And I love that she went for a complete monochromatic look from her nude lip to her neutral ankle-strap platforms.– Brittany Talarico, Associate Style Editor
Leave It: Heidi Klum’s Leopard Nightie: I was confused when the supermodel wore this to the America’s Got Talent viewing party on Tuesday. Obviously she’s a knock out and looks gorgeous in pretty much everything (helllloooooo, Emmys Heidi), but the fabric, length, and detail of this animal print slip dress feels way more fitting for bedtime than show time. I do think she could have “made it work” (sorry!) if she hemmed it below the knee, added a stack of bangles and edgier shoes, and topped it with tousled, beachy waves. – Loni Venti, Style and Beauty Editor
