Love It: Kate Bosworth’s Red-on-Red-on-Red. Two things happened this week that had all the PEOPLE editors squealing: The fastest dog on two legs visited our office and Kate Bosworth wore this killer Hugo Boss midi with a coordinating lip and heels. The dazzling skirt on the strapless dress gives it a really glam, unique feel despite the simple silhouette, but it’s the matchy-matchiness of her lipstick (it’s NARS Velvet matte lip pencil in “Pop Life”) and her pointy-toe pumps that take this ensemble from a 10 to an 11. ––Zoë Ruderman, Deputy Style and Beauty Director
Love It: Rose Byrne’s Mini Moment. What I most appreciate about this 3.1 Phillip Lim ensemble is that it’s romantic and adorable without being too cutesy. The mini-length and totally-buttoned-up blouse, combined with the accents of colored lace are playful and flirty. Black satin and lace evoke lingerie, and the mesh inset on the shoulders (note, NOT on the cleavage or midriff, phew) add a touch of naughtiness. Rose has fully committed to the darkness of this look with her film noir-style side part and dark lip, but accessorized with Tiffany’s jewelry, including two of their brand new Tiffany T cuffs to keep the look grounded and modern.

Leave It: Jenny McCarthy’s Button-Embellished Dress: Am I the only one who noticed that we unintentionally, yet hilariously described Jenny McCarthy’s red sheath as being “double-breasted?” Because just look at the insanely awkward placement of the those buttons. They make it appear as if her headlights are on, if you know what I mean. And what’s worse its that this dress would’ve been doomed even without the nipple-buttons, thanks to her choice of footwear. McCarthy’s chunky red platforms appear to be swallowing a smaller pair of black patent Mary Janes, making for one weird-looking shoe. At least her hair looks pretty, so there’s that. – Andrea Lavinthal, Style and Beauty Director
