There are always some big hair changes on the Grammys red carpet, and Katy Perry always manages to be one of them. This year, the singer debuted a new lavender hue, a lighter shade from the deep violet color she’s been sporting.

Perry paired her soft tousled purple waves with a sheer, heavily beaded Zuhair Murad gown that’s hot off the spring/summer Haute Couture runway in Paris. The backless dress featured crystal embellished fringe and a metal-and-crystal belt. She finished the look with crystal nude satin heels by Sophia Webster.
“I just wanted to shine bright like a diamond,” the singer shared in Barbadian accent (a nod to her good friend Rihanna), adding that she needed a lot of makeup help because she had “choppy sleep from watching too man episodes of Transparent.” And the CoverGirl team definitely came to the rescue for the star, creating a statement cat eye, glowy complexion and nude lip for the star.
