Skechers must be in need of a little “peace and love”, because the footwear brand just recruited drummer Ringo Starr (you may know him from his little garage band called The Beatles) to appear in their Relaxed Fit Footwear campaign.

Starr is the first musician to appear in this commercial series, which previously focused on athletes like Joe Montana, Mark Cuban and Joe Namath, but this isn’t his first time modeling in the fashion world. The rockstar recently posed for a John Varvatos campaign tied to his charity Peace Rocks which benefits the David Lynch Foundation.

According to a Skechers press release, “Ringo possesses the charm, cool charisma and instant global recognition that will elevate awareness for our popular Relaxed Fit footwear collection. Ringo is not only a music icon, but also a style icon and is the perfect ambassador to illustrate how our footwear helps keep you relaxed in any situation.” His ads will appear next spring, and Skechers promises humor as well as a “roomier fit” and “instant comfort.”
