By Celebrity News Wire on March 5, 2015

No your eyes are not tricking you. This dress really is white and gold, and it can be yours.

It’s the dress that divided the world, and now the U.K based fashion retailer Roman Originals who made the blue and black dress which broke the internet last week, have decided to made a one-off white and gold version to sell for charity.

“We thought it would be a really good way to raise a lot of money for charity and give something back,” Adrian Addison, the brand’s head of e-commerce, tells PEOPLE, adding that the new dress was created in their U.K. design studio in Birmingham.

#TheDress, as it become known when it went viral last week, started trending worldwide on Twitter when a picture posted on Tumblr sparked a fierce debate — with some people convinced that the royal blue dress with black lace detailing was in fact white and gold (it was in fact a mind-altering optical illusion).

Now the alternative version of #TheDress is being sold on the auction site eBay to raise money for the U.K charity Comic Relief. “We’re hoping for it to raise as much as possible, it would be great if it goes into the £100,000 mark,” says Addison, who says that although the dress is a U.K size 12, it will be re-made to fit the winning bidder perfectly.

“It was overwhelming the response that we have had to it. It’s been fantastic!” says Addison, who admits that not many people had heard of the small family-run business before the ‘news’ story broke. “The brand is out there and we are really pleased.”

Bid now for a little piece of Internet history (and a chance to blow everyone’s mind when you insist it’s black and blue); the sale ends on March 15.

Are you ready to start this debate all over again?
