"The King's Speech" racked up 12 nominations, including best picture, to lead the field of contenders for the 2011 Academy Awards, organizers announced last month. "True Grit," a Western remake by the Coen brothers, followed just behind with 10 nominations, including best picture and acting honors for Jeff Bridges and Hailee Steinfeld.

The 83rd Oscars, co-hosted by James Franco and Anne Hathaway, will air live on ABC on Feb. 27.
