BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — Lindsay Lohan's attorney classified an arrest warrant issued Friday for the actress as nothing more than a "misunderstanding."
The $50,000 warrant was issued by the Beverly Hills Superior Court and is believed to stem from Lohan's 2007 DUI conviction. On Saturday, Lohan's attorney said she had complied with the terms of her probation and all court orders.
"The warrant issued on Friday was, in our view, born out of a misunderstanding which I am confident I can clear up next week," said lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley in a statement to The Associated Press.
While officials have declined to state the reason for the warrant, celebrity gossip Web site TMZ.com claims Lohan is actually not in compliance with the terms of her probation. The site reports that an alcohol education program contacted the court about Lohan's failure to fulfill her obligation.
A hearing on the matter is scheduled for Monday morning in a Beverly Hills court.
Lohan is currently serving a three-year probation term, having twice been arrested for DUI in 2007. She famously spent 84 minutes in jail in November 2007 after the arrests, the first of which came after she wrecked her car in Beverly Hills and the second following a car chase in Santa Monica.
The 22-year-old Lohan did not seem to be fazed by Friday's announcement, having been spotted partying with friends at West Hollywood hotspot Chateau Marmont. The group later capped off the night with a visit to actor Jack Nicholson's home.
