SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Actor Vinnie Jones was arrested following a brawl Thursday at a Sioux Falls bar, The Associated Press reports.
The former British soccer star was at Wiley's Tavern when he reportedly charged at fellow patron Jesse Bickett, who responded by striking Jones with his beer glass. As a result, the 43-year-old star suffered facial cuts on his face, AP says.
Juan Barrera, a roommate of Bickett's, said he and his pals were shooting pool when the incident took place. According to Barrera, Jones asked to join the game, but became upset after someone asked if he was "that guy from X-Men."
"He got offended by that, and he started pushing my other friends around," Barrera told AP.
Jones was charged with simple assault shortly after being treated at a local hospital. He posted bail and was released Friday.
Bickett, 24, was also arrested following the brawl and will face a charge of aggravated assault. He reportedly required surgery as a result of his injuries.
"He (Jones) doesn't want to run into me," Bickett's mother, Deb, told AP of the Hollywood tough guy.
