NEW YORK — Baseball slugger Alex Rodriguez and his wife Cynthia are proud parents again.
The couple welcomed their second child, a baby girl, Monday night in Miami, Fla. The newborn, whose name has not been revealed, weighed 7 lbs., 2 oz., according to Major League Baseball's official Web site.
"We are thrilled with the birth of our second daughter and the blessing of having two beautiful, healthy children in our lives," the New York Yankees star, a two-time American League MVP, said in a statement.
Rodriguez, 32, and his 34-year-old wife married in 2002.
The couple also has a 3-year-old daughter, Natasha.
