HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino has been accused of making a sex tape with a married man she allegedly had an affair with.
A North Carolina woman named Paula Cook filed a complaint last Wednesday in Mecklenburg County District Court, accusing her husband of having an affair with Barrino, according to Charlotte's WCNC-TV. She claims the pair started hooking up in August 2009 after they met at a Charlotte-area T-Mobile store where hubby Antwaun Cook is employed.
The complaint mentions sex tapes as potential evidence to prove the affair, saying the twosome "at times recorded their illicit sexual activity." It also references a phone call in which Barrino allegedly told Paula Cook to move on.
"He don't want you," Barrino said according to the documents. "Maybe the next time that you get a husband you'll know how to keep him. That's why he is here with me."
Barrino has appeared publicly with a tattoo on her left shoulder reading "Cook," an apparent tribute to the man, who has a similar tattoo on his shoulder, the documents said.
The alleged affair was first reported by tabloids back in November.
