HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — They have it all but they are also willing to share it.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt donated more than $6 million to charities in 2008, according to a tax return for the couple's Jolie-Pitt Foundation obtained by The Hollywood Reporter. The total represents nearly half of the $13 million that the charity organization raised last year.
Among the top groups on the receiving end of the couple's charitable efforts were Global Health ($2 million), Human Rights Watch ($1 million) and Pitt's own Make it Right Foundation ($1 million).
The Jolie-Pitt Foundation also donated nearly $1 million to various causes in Cambodia, the home country of their first adopted son, Maddox.
In total, Jolie, 34, and Pitt, 45, more than doubled what they donated in 2007.
