HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — With pregnancy rumors flying around the tabloids, Ashlee Simpson kept the focus on her engagement to Pete Wentz while chatting with Ryan Seacrest on his KISS-FM radio show Thursday morning.
"I didn't know I'd be getting married right now, but I'm so happy to be," said the 23-year-old singer, who called into the show from her mother's New York City hotel room. "I'm a lucky girl."
Simpson said she's still gushing over the ring her Fall Out Boy fiance presented to her, telling Seacrest, "It's definitely a big diamond!"
"I'm like, 'Oh, my god, I can't believe this is on my hand!'" she added.
Simpson wouldn't divulge any juicy details on how Wentz, whom she's dated since 2006, proposed, telling the host, "I'm keeping that part sacred. But I will tell you it was very thoughtful and he did a great job."
The musician, whose new album, "Bittersweet World," will be released April 22, also remained mum on when the couple might officially tie the knot.
"I can't tell my secrets," she said.
