HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Beyoncé Knowles and her longtime boyfriend Jay-Z have obtained a marriage license, according to People magazine.
A source said the couple received the license, which is valid for 60 days, Tuesday morning in Scarsdale, N.Y.
Knowles, 26, and Jay-Z, 38, have been dating since 2002. They have done their best to keep their high-profile relationship out of the spotlight, although wedding rumors have long plagued them.
In February, Knowles signed up to play the role of blues star Etta James in the upcoming film "Cadillac Records." The multi-talented star, who received a Golden Globe nomination for her role as girl-group member Deena Jones in the hit 2006 musical "Dreamgirls," will also be an executive producer on the film. The movie revolves around the founder of Chicago's Chess Records and his roster of stars.
Knowles, who will also be contributing four songs to the film's soundtrack, is donating some of her paycheck from the movie to her family's charity, the Survivor Foundation, which assists recovering addicts.
