HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — After weeks of hype, the curtain was finally raised at midnight Tuesday on the music video debut for the remix of Beyoncé's song "Video Phone," an action-packed adventure that features fellow music diva Lady Gaga.
In the Hype Williams-directed collaboration, Beyoncé and Lady Gaga dance and pose pin-up style with massive toy guns and matching leotards. Gaga said she was more than happy to drop her typical avant-garde look for the shoot.
"I said, 'I want to do you in your video, and I want to tribute you. I want to dress up like you,' " she told MTV News.
Gaga also said putting two divas together in one video wasn't as challenging as one might think.
"What I was excited about is with B, I had no ego," she said. "Neither of us had an ego. It wasn't about competition. It was about, like, 'Man let's give the world what they want. Let's do a real girl-power collaboration where we support one other.' "
