Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert Now Engaged

Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, engaged, engagement, proposal, wedding, dating, pictures, picture, photos, photo, pics, pic, images, image, hot, sexy, latest, new, 2010NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Country couple Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert are now engaged to be married!

The "Hillbilly Bone" singer popped the question on Sunday after first asking for permission to marry the fellow country star.

"He called my dad and got his blessing first," Lambert told People magazine about the surprise proposal in the woods near her Oklahoma home. "That was so Southern and old-school and perfect."

Lambert, 26, said she was equally impressed by the diamond-and-platinum ring that Shelton, 33, picked out all by himself.

"I was so proud of him," she told the mag. "We've been together five years, so he knew exactly what I wanted but it's so much more perfect than I could have picked out myself."

"Weddings are great and engagements are great and diamonds are especially great," added Lambert. "But I'm just excited to be married because I want to tell Blake I really can love him the rest of my life and be happy and make him happy."
