NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will reunite to host the 2010 CMA Awards on Nov. 10, organizers announced Thursday.
"I think it's our Oscars. That's the best way I can describe it," Paisley told reporters at a morning press conference announcing the duo's return. "Country music is such a wide spectrum these days, and it really always has been. Any time someone is a new viewer, they are very pleasantly surprised at what they relate to — and what they like that they may have had no interest in prior. I think it's the most important night of the year for country music for that reason alone. You reach all of these new people."
A portion of this year's CMA nominations will be announced next Tuesday in Nashville, with the remaining categories being revealed the following day on ABC's Good Morning America.
The 44th annual CMA Awards will air live on ABC from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
