LOS ANGELES — So much for those Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie breakup rumors.
The longtime couple hit the town Saturday night for the Directors Guild of America Awards in Los Angeles, where they silenced ongoing tabloid chatter about a forthcoming split.
"They were laughing and having a great time together," a source tells American Superstar.
Pitt, 46, was on hand to support his Inglourious Basterds director Quentin Tarantino at the annual ceremony, which took place at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza. It was the first public appearance for the pair since tabloids began hinting about trouble brewing in their relationship. The latest issue of Us Weekly claims that Jolie, 34, is fed up Pitt, who isn't "pulling his weight" when it comes to caring for the couple's six children — Maddox, 8, Pax, 6, Zahara, 5, Shiloh, 3, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 18 months.
"She has nannies, but she wants to do it herself," an insider told the mag. "Her kids are all in different stages now, running around, needing attention."
