HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Bret Michaels is shooting down rumors that he had an affair with Miley Cyrus' mom, Tish.
"The question is did I or didn't I," the 47-year-old rocker said on Tuesday's Fox & Friends show. "The answer is no."
Michaels has been under fire ever since an Us Weekly story suggested he hooked up with the Disney star's mother, who split from Billy Ray Cyrus last month after 17 years of marriage. Sources told the mag the affair began after Michaels teamed up with Miley earlier this year in the studio.
"Here's the thing, I've been friends with [Miley's] family forever," Michaels explained. "Her mom, Tish, likes 'Every Rose Has Its Thorn,' and the first concert Miley ever saw was Poison, so they wanted to remake it."
The singer insisted that his relationship with Tish was strictly professional.
Said Michaels: "When I was in the studio, Miley came in and sang on my song … and that was it."
