HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Britney Spears may be headed for the road, but she won't be straying far from her two young sons.
"Both Sean Preston and Jayden James will, in fact, be joining Britney throughout the duration of her tour," read a post on the singer's Web site Monday evening, dispelling rumors that her upcoming "Circus" tour could be in jeopardy if a suitable custody arrangement could not be solidified with her ex-husband, Kevin Federline.
The 30-year-old Federine has primary custody of Sean Preston, 3 and Jayden James 2, but Spears has regained almost 50-50 access to them in visitation rights.
In other news from the pop star, the tour's designer, Jamie King, promised fans a show to remember.
"Britney and I are really excited to conceptualize her Circus tour. We've taken the idea of a traditional 'big-top circus' and given it a Britney Spears twist," shared King on the singer's Web site. "This circus is unlike anything you've ever seen before. It's sexy, fun, explosive, and full of surprises. We wanted the stage to resemble the design of a three-ring circus where multiple acts can take place simultaneously. While avoiding such traditional circus elements as live animals, we've created something innovative and exciting using contortionists, dancers, lighting, fire and other special effects. In the end, we just want fans to experience a unique and thrilling concert with Britney."
Spears kicks off her world tour on March 3 in New Orleans, along with special guests The Pussycat Dolls.
