HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Céline Dion is pregnant!
The 41-year-old singer and her husband, René Angélil, are expecting their second child together, a rep for Dion confirmed Tuesday.
"Celine and René are very happy," said the rep. "They are crazy in love over the news ... they are overjoyed."
According to the Journal de Montreal, Dion confirmed the pregnancy on Monday after undergoing fertility treatment at a clinic in New York.
The Canadian star is said to be due next May.
Dion and Angélil were married on Dec. 17, 1994. The couple's first child, son René-Charles, was born on Jan. 25, 2001.
Angélil, 67, also has three other children from two previous marriages.
Dion, who is the youngest of 14 children, previously expressed her desire to have more children during an interview on CBS's "Early Show" in December.
"We'd love to extend the family," she said.
It remains to be seen what impact the pregnancy may have on Dion's expected return to Las Vegas. The "My Heart Will Go On" singer was believed to be considering a June 2010 return to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
