HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — It's over for Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller.
The twosome both filed for divorce in Los Angeles Monday, with each citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split, according to People.
TMZ reports that the divorcing couple agreed on settlement terms back in May. Mueller will reportedly get primary physical custody of their 1½-year-old twin boys, Max and Bob, with Sheen receiving visitation rights.
The Two and a Half Men star was arrested last Christmas after he allegedly held a knife to Mueller's throat during a holiday getaway to Aspen, Colo. In August, he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor assault charge in the domestic violence case as part of a plea deal that resulted in two other charges being dropped against him.
Sheen, 45, and Mueller tied the knot in May 2008.
