HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Cheryl Hines says she's been extremely impressed by her "Labor Pains" co-star Lindsay Lohan, who has fought hard to bounce back from several stints in rehab.
"It was what I expected," Hines told People magazine of Lohan's professionalism on the film's set. "I honestly expected that she's gotten herself together, and really wanted to work and that's what she's showing us. I'm very proud of her."
In the film, a young woman (Lohan) pretends to be pregnant in order to avoid being fired from her job. Once that gets her a bunch of special treatment from everyone her life, she tries to keep up the lie for nine months.
The 42-year-old Hines, who has starred opposite Larry David on HBO's hit comedy "Curb Your Enthusiasm" since 2000, said she's had a blast working with Lohan, who turned 22 on July 11.
"I have had a great time shooting with her, and when we have scenes together we have a lot of fun improvising," Hines said of the movie's filming, which began in June.
"It usually ends in a big laugh fest, and they have to cut because we can't talk anymore," she added.
