LOS ANGELES — Chris Brown has announced plans for a month-long concert run.
The R&B star's "Fan Appreciation Tour" will play small venues in 19 U.S. cities, beginning Nov. 14 at the House of Blues in Houston, Texas.
It will be Brown's first concert run since his February arrest for assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna. The singer was sentenced to five years of probation and community service for the attack in August.
Brown's record company, Jive Records, said the tour is intended to thank his loyal fans for their support.
A portion of the tour's proceeds will be donated to a Los Angeles domestic violence intervention charity called the Jenesse Center, as well as an organization providing friendships and jobs for people with developmental disabilities called Best Buddies International.
The tour announcement came on the same day as Rihanna debuted her new single, "Russian Roulette."
Brown released his new single, "I Can Transform Ya," in September. The track is from his forthcoming album, "Graffiti."
