HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — George Clooney made history at last night’s 80th Annual Academy Awards, but it had nothing to do with winning an award.
For the first time in his career, the 46-year-old star had a girlfriend on his arm at the Oscars, bringing along beau Sarah Larson to last night’s festivities in Hollywood.
“She looks good, huh?” Clooney said of his 28-year-old date to People magazine.
He then joked that Larson’s Valentino gown was a better fit on her, saying, “I tried it on first and it looked terrible on me.”
Clooney fell short on his best actor nod for the film “Michael Clayton,” which he also served as executive producer, but he didn’t seem to mind with Larson by his side. The pair have been dating for almost a year after meeting in a Las Vegas club, where Larson was working as a waitress at the time.
As for their plan after the ceremony, Clooney keep it short and sweet saying, “Drink.”
