HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Colin Egglesfield is looking forward to a little pool time.
The "All My Children" star has signed on for the CW's upcoming "Melrose Place" spinoff, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The 36-year-old Egglesfield will star as devoted surfer Auggie, a sous-chef at a popular local eatery with hopes of being his own boss some day.
Also joining the new series is Stephanie Jacobsen.
The pair join the previously cast Michael Rady, Katie Cassidy, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Jessica Lucas.
Egglesfield assumed the role of Josh Madden on the ABC daytime soap in 2005. His character was killed off in January.
The Michigan native also previously worked as a model, having appeared in campaigns for Versace, Calvin Klein and Armani, among others.
Egglesfield has also appeared in several films and will appear on the big screen later this year in "The Good Guy," which stars Alexis Bledel, Aaron Yoo, Bryan Greenberg, Anna Chlumsky and Scott Porter.
