HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Conan O'Brien may have been injured on the job, but now he's turning his bruises into a viral video.
The 46-year-old comedian was injured Friday when he hit his head while taping a stunt for the "Tonight Show." O'Brien fell during a bit that was meant to poke fun at guest Teri Hatcher's recent triathlon.
"As many of you may know, on this past Friday's show I was doing a stunt and I hit my head and suffered a slight concussion. And I promise, if you're a good audience, I'll do it again tonight," O'Brien joked during Monday's telecast.
O'Brien and Hatcher were in a footrace when he took the spill, forcing production on Friday's show to be halted. He was taken to a hospital for examination, which led to the network running a "Tonight Show" rerun instead of the planned episode.
The funnyman joked that he struck his head so hard "that for five seconds I actually understood the plot of 'Lost.'" He also said that with all the media attention surrounding the incident, he plans to take another spill when another "Desperate Housewives" star pays him a visit.
"Tune in tomorrow when Eva Longoria pushes me down an elevator shaft," he quipped.
