Crystal Bowersox and Brian Walker Engaged, Wedding Next Month

The 25-year-old American Idol star and her musician beau Brian Walker will tie the knot in October after getting engaged, her rep tells People.

This will be the first marriage for Bowersox, who has a 1½-year-old son named Tony from a previous relationship.

The wedding news comes just months after Bowersox famously broke up with her longtime boyfriend Tony Kusian in the hours before her final Idol performance.

In May, the Ohio native finished as the runner-up to Lee DeWyze on the latest cycle of Idol, becoming the first female to reach the show's finale since Jordin Sparks in 2007. A month later, Bowersox signed with 19 Recordings/Jive Records to release her debut album, which is expected to drop later this year.
