NEW YORK — Danielle Staub says she initially attempted to halt distribution of her just released sex tape, but quickly realized she was facing up an uphill battle.
"I just decided if you can't be them, join them," the Real Housewives of New Jersey star told TMZ of the racy footage, which she claims was stolen.
"It wasn't something that I would have chose to have released, but it's out there and there's nothing that I can do about it," she added.
Staub made the sex tape with a male that she refused to identify. She said they are still in contact and doubts he was behind the sex tape surfacing.
"To the best of my knowledge, he had nothing to do with it," she said.
As for the footage, Staub said she's pretty sure she can outsell Kendra Wilkinson's just released sex tape.
"I haven't seen hers. I haven't seen mine, either, but I do know I was in it," she boasted. "If it's going to do anything, I would hope mine would do better."
So is she worried what the other Housewives think?
Said Staub: "I don't care what they say about me, ever!"
