NEW YORK — A month after his wife filed for divorce, Kelsey Grammer has learned that his new girlfriend, Kayte Walsh, is pregnant.
"It's great news and we are very pleased for them both," the woman's father, Alan Walsh, told the U.K's Daily Mail on Thursday.
Grammer, 55, and Walsh, 29, were recently photographed together for the first time. The proud grandfather-father-to-be said he hasn't even met the former Cheers and Frasier star.
"I don't know how long they have been together and I have not met him yet, but I'm looking forward to it," said the former soccer player, who is two years younger than Grammer. "We just found out about her pregnancy a couple of days ago. I think they met in New York socially because she works for Virgin Airways and often stops over in America."
He added: "The main thing is for them both to be happy and they are – they have just hit it off together."
Grammer's third wife, Camille Donatacci, filed for divorce on July 1. She is seeking primary physical custody of their daughter Mason, 8, and son Jude, 5, in addition to spousal support.
The actor also has two other children. His first wife, dance instructor Doreen Alderman, is the mother of his 26-year-old daughter, actress Spencer Grammer. He also has an 18-year-old daughter, Greer, from a previous relationship with hairdresser Barrie Buckner.
Grammer is currently starring in the Tony-winning revival of the Broadway musical La Cage Aux Folles.
