HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — David and Victoria Beckham are speaking out after a tabloid alleged the soccer star cheated on his wife a $10,000-a-night hooker.
InTouch Weekly claims the athlete hooked up with a former prostitute named Irma Nici, shortly after he moved to the U.S. in 2007 to play for the Los Angeles Galaxy. But the Beckhams are slamming the accusation and say they plan to sue the magazine.
"[The allegations] are completely untrue and totally ridiculous, as the magazine was clearly told before publication," the couple's rep tells Us Weekly. "Sadly we live in a world where a magazine can print lies and believe they can get away with it. We are taking legal action against the magazine."
The Beckhams, who married in 1999, have three sons – Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, 8, and Cruz, 5.
