HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Dexter star Michael C. Hall has been diagnosed with cancer, his spokesman revealed Wednesday to the Associated Press.
The 38-year-old actor has been undergoing treatment for Hodgkin's lymphoma for an undisclosed period of time, but is expected to make a full recovery. Spokesman Craig Bankey said the cancer is in remission and Hall's treatment will continue as planned.
"I feel fortunate to have been diagnosed with an imminently treatable and curable condition, and I thank my doctors and nurses for their expertise and care," Hall said in a statement.
Bankey said Hall will be back at work when the Showtime series begins production for its fifth season later this year.
Hall and his wife, Dexter costar Jennifer Carpenter, are still planning to attend Sunday's Golden Globes and the Screen Actors Guild Awards taking place on Jan. 23. Hall and his fellow cast members are up for several awards at both ceremonies.
