HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Dixie Chick Martie Maguire has announced that she is expecting again.
"I'm very excited," Maguire told People Sunday at the Nobelity Artists & Filmmakers Dinner in Austin to benefit the Nobelity Project. "We know what it is — it's a girl."
The 38-year-old singer and her husband, Gareth, are already proud parents to twin daugthers, Eva Ruth and Kathleen Emilie, who were born in April 2004.
"I'm feeling good now, although I wasn't!" Maguire joked. "Carrying one instead of two will be much easier."
The announcement means the Dixie Chick family will be soon be expanding to eight. Lead singer Natalie Maines has two children, while Emily Robinson has three, which could mean the Dixie Chicks will have some competition in the not too distant future.
Says Maguire: "We'll have to move over and let the little chicks take over! We've got a new band!
